Environmental Justice Hack-athon
September 12-13, 2020 (Virtual)
University students and young professionals are invited to come together for an intensive collaboration for environmental justice. The goal? To design innovative projects that support environmental justice and help dismantle systemic oppression and racism through the lens of sustainability.
Join The GREEN Program and Earth Hacks for a 48-hour, virtual hackathon to support environmental justice. Open to all majors!
From September 12 – 13, participants will also gain access to a series of “Agile Talks”, led by leaders in environmental justice and sustainability, while putting their minds together to problem-solve for environmental justice.
BERC Energy and Resources 101

Kevin has worked in the solar industry since his graduation in 2015, starting out as a solar installer in Arizona. As a Research Associate at LBNL, he provides technical and procurement support to federal agencies that are installing solar.

Energy & Environment Justice e-Teach-In Event

People of color and low-income communities are more likely to live in areas most vulnerable to flooding and other climate change-related weather events. They are also less likely to have the funds to prepare for and recover from extreme weather. Joe Biden is working with Clean Energy leaders to develop strategies to ensure that the clean economy will create jobs that will mitigate the impact of climate change, especially in diverse and varied communities across the nation, and insure that the benfits of the clean economy are equitably shared. Join us in a friendly discussion and open exchange on environmental justice, clean energy and equity.
