Raneem Iftekhar (she/her)

Raneem Iftekhar is a fourth year pursuing a double major in Environmental Economics and Society and Environment with a minor in Geospatial  Information Science. A transfer student from Santiago Canyon College in Southern California, she is grateful to be on a campus like Berkeley surrounded by such passionate and involved students in the eco-community. Her area of focus includes global environmental justice, climate change resilience at the community level and particularly water resource policy in California and the Western United States. Raneem’s passion for protecting people and the environment stems from her roots in Bangladesh, a country at the frontline of climate vulnerability. In her free time, Raneem can be found journaling, painting her favorite landscapes and making every type of tea under the sun.
