Alexandra Jade Garcia (she/her/hers)
Lexie is a fourth-year studying Society & Environment and minoring in Political Economy. Born and raised in the Bay Area, she has become very passionate about advancing climate solutions and resilience at local levels. Her experiences with journalism have cultivated her fascination with climate communication; especially the power of written and audio-visual mediums to share the stories of marginalized and underrepresented communities. On campus, she has helped organize student campaigns advocating for environmental justice through the Eco-Office, and works on a research project exploring youth empowerment through climate education. Lexie hopes to one day advance climate justice literature through critical frameworks, especially focusing on the intersections of the environment, race, and gender. In her free time, you can find her reading, journaling, watching video essays, or at the Berkeley Art Museum.
